Elder – Reflections of a Floating World

Elder released June 2, 2017 a new album my friends, let´s check out this!

Reflections of a Floating World is the ninth work of Massachusetts Stoner Rock band, this new album contains six song of a recipe that Elder has built a long of this years in your carrer, a Stoner Rock with the melodic feeling that just Elder knows to do. One thing that i love to listen this guys is the perfection in your riffs and the precision melodic that just some musicians has.

In this new album we heard the contrast of heavy riffs and floydian riffs that creates an ambient to travel with the songs and now a mistake I saw in the other albums and now it’s okay, I think the voice is a bit low in the other albums, but now it’s perfect.

Reflections of a Floating World is to me the best album of the band because i can listen here all a legacy built that put Elder one of the best Stoner Rock bands. I love Prog Rock too and i feel that the many riffs come from a Pink Floyd School, this influence scream in my ears. So would be Elder a Progressive Stoner Rock? Think about it and listen this album, the desire to press play again will dominate you!

Dö – Astral: Death / Birth

Hello guys, let’s here go again with one more review and this time i present for you this work of Stoner/Sludge/Doom by Dö.

Dö is a band from Finland that released on May 26, 2017 one more EP, called Astral: Death / Birth.This EP contains just two songs, first “Astral Death” that already begins remembering bands like Conan with a lot of noise and a heavy fuzz with riffs very influenced by Doom Metal and Sludge Metal and the music goes on this way slow and brutal wtih vocals that become the atmosphere of the song destructive, vocalswith guturals and screams. The second song “Astral Birth” is more influenced by the psychodelic stoner rock, it creates an atmosphere of imerssion for a long time and again the destructive sludge/doom sounds brutal like the first song after of this psychedelic passage;

The trio from Finland show us a work to whom likes brutality, heavy fuzz and psych riffs. Astral Death/Birth is an EP that i like so much because i love bands that mix heavy fuzz, brutality and psych riffs, no matter with the vocals is like death metal or more clean this kind of work is always exciting.

Dö is:

Big Dog (Guitar)
Deaf Hank (Vox & Bass)
Joe E. Deliverance (‘E’ stands for ‘Epic’) (Drums & Vox)
